Historian Frank Salvati will discuss the Walking Purhase of 1737.   How much land could you walk in a day?   According the the sons of William Penn and their Iroquois allies, that walk would encompass over one million acres of Lenape land that was given over to colonial Pennsylvania.  This deception drove the Lenape from their tribal land.

This presentation will be held in the auditorium and is free and open to the public.
